¾ cup (190 ml) of sunflower seeds
¼ cup (65 ml) of sesame seeds
½ cup (125 mL) whole wheat flour
½ cup (125 mL) of nutritional yeast
1 small chopped onion Juice of a lemon
1 cup (250 mL) of grated carrots
¼ cup (65 ml) of sesame oil (can be replaced by olive oil)
1 ¼ cup (315 ml) of hot water
1 tbsp (15 mL) soy sauce
1 tsp (5 ml) dried herbs (basil, thyme, oregano etc.)
Salt and pepper to taste
1- Preheat the oven to 350 F.
2- In a bowl, mix all the ingredients together.
3- Pour the mixture into a mold of about 20 x 10 cm.
4- Put in the oven for 50 minutes.
5- Let cool for about 1 hour before unmolding.
*Excellent in sandwiches or on a slice of bread with alfalfa and a few slices of avocado, cucumber or tomato.
