Ingredients

  • ¾ cup (190 ml) of sunflower seeds

  • ¼ cup (65 ml) of sesame seeds

  • ½ cup (125 mL) whole wheat flour

  • ½ cup (125 mL) of nutritional yeast

  • 1 small chopped onion Juice of a lemon

  • 1 cup (250 mL) of grated carrots

  • ¼ cup (65 ml) of sesame oil (can be replaced by olive oil)

  • 1 ¼ cup (315 ml) of hot water

  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) soy sauce

  • 1 tsp (5 ml) dried herbs (basil, thyme, oregano etc.)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

1- Preheat the oven to 350 F.

2- In a bowl, mix all the ingredients together.

3- Pour the mixture into a mold of about 20 x 10 cm.

4- Put in the oven for 50 minutes.

5- Let cool for about 1 hour before unmolding.

*Excellent in sandwiches or on a slice of bread with alfalfa and a few slices of avocado, cucumber or tomato.
